About VILLAIN

About Craze-tex™

Craze-tex™ is a revolutionary new fiber inspired by the serendipitous discovery of a plastic defect phenomenon.
Its unique “Nano-Crazing Technology” that does not rely on chemical treatments creates countless invisible “pores” in fibers through post-processing, invisible nanoscale pores are created in the fiber through post-processing.
These pores can encapsulate various functional components such as insect-repellent, antibacterial, and deodorizing agents.
Craze-tex™, woven with cutting-edge technology from Japan, will become a symbol of next-generation luxury pursuing harmony with the environment, and unveil unprecedented possibilities in textile innovation.

Nano-Crazing Technology

The initial fracture phenomenon (craze) that occurs in plastic materials has traditionally been considered a "defect" in industrial processes and discarded.
By focusing on this phenomenon and precisely controlling the fracture, we succeeded in creating nanoscale pores within the material without compromising its strength—a world-first achievement.
The application of this technology led to the birth of the next-generation fiber "Craze-tex™".

Presentation at Paris Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2025
